At Mutus Tech, detailed pest data is essential for understanding and managing agricultural challenges in a targeted and environmentally responsible manner. Our datasets are used as the foundation for pest monitoring, detection, and management recommendations within our precision agriculture systems.

Data Archive
We maintain an archive of over 50,000 labelled images of insect pests collected from farms in the UK. These images cover a range of economically important pests, including aphids, weevils and leaf miners, and are updated regularly through ongoing field surveys. The archive also includes more than 300,000 historical pest images from Chinese farms, providing a broader dataset for comparative analysis.

Applications
The datasets support the development and testing of AI models used in real-time pest identification and quantification. By training these models on high-quality, field-based images, we aim to ensure they are accurate and adaptable to the practical conditions faced by farmers.

Ongoing Research
The insect pest datasets contribute to ongoing research collaborations with agricultural institutions and inform the development of integrated pest management strategies. This work supports more precise, data-driven decision-making in farming.
